Paul’s text here to the Church in Ephesus has historically been one of the most polarizing in all of scripture when it comes to the roles of men and women in both personal and Church life. Seeking to understand the context, background and culture of the time of the writing of scripture will help prove out the message that God intends for our guidance. We are starting a journey this week on “Women of the Bible”. Our hope is to really look at the context, history and culture of women that come into our lives from the pages of God’s Word. There is nothing in God’s Word that is arbitrary or of coincidence. All of it tells us of God’s love for us and reveals His purpose for our lives.
It is my hope that you will be able to join us each week as we look deeply into “Women of the Bible” and how their lives fulfilled God’s purpose throughout the Bible.
The purpose of women as illustrated by the scriptures and the way in which Jesus and Paul treated women will reveal the key traits of value and equity of the involvement of women in God’s purpose.
