Welcome Fellow Disciple

Dear Fellow Disciple,
As the pastor of the Beulah Hill Christian Church, a congregation that has been in existence for over 100 years, I just want to say THANK YOU for placing your membership with us, and Welcome to the Beulah Church family. It is my prayer that you will always have a positive experience here. I trust that you will find a way and a place to plug into the church’s life and feel free to exercise your gifts.
We strive to maintain a family atmosphere and keep Christ the center of all we do as a church. We do not claim to be perfect, and “we are not the only Christians but Christians only.” We are excited that you have chosen to share your faith journey with us.
This packet is given to you, hoping that you will become an active member of our community of faith. This packet will find information concerning our church – locally, regionally, and the General National Church- and ways to discover your spiritual gifts to get involved. Please return any forms that need to be filled out back to me.
The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) was founded in the early 1800s in the United States. Beulah Hill was organized in 1910. I would like to welcome you into the fellowship of like-minded people who have decided to follow Jesus.
The chalice symbolizes the central place of communion in worship for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ); the X-shaped cross of the Disciple Andrew is a reminder of the ministry of each person and the importance of Evangelism.
Again, we are honored to have you as the newest member of our church family, and we rejoice with you as God’s plan continues to develop and unfold in your life.
In His Service,
Sam Blackman, Pastor
